Rotary Club of Onigbongbo in Maryland of Lagos State has performed the foundation laying ceremony of a new Rotary Primary Health Post at Billy Way, Ojomo Layout, Irawo, in Ikorodu area of Lagos State.

President of the club, Razaq Babatunde Salau, while addressing the community and guests at the foundation-laying event, enjoined the community to support the health centre project and take ownership of the facility, as it will be handed over to the state government after completion for the use of the community.

First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, who spoke at the ceremony, represented by wife of former Lagos State Head of Service and also a member of Committee of Wives of Lagos State Government Officials, Mrs. Adeola Arotinwa, stressed the need for the host-community to support the club on the project, which will be beneficial to the community and the entire Ikorodu area .

Arotinwa also applauded the gesture of Rotary Club for striving to improve the health service issues in the country.

“Rotary Club uncommon passion for humanity service is compassion at its best and worthy of emulation by everyone,” she said.
