Rotary International District 9111 is set to host its 2026 Interact Conference today, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Women Development Centre, Ijaiye – Ogba, Lagos.

The Rotary District 9111 Governor, Henry Akinyele, disclosed that the theme of the conference is ‘Uniting young leaders for future excellence’.

Akinyele added that it is designed to empower young leaders ages 12 to 18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of “service above self.”

He stated that the Interact Clubs Conference is also a wonderful opportunity for young people to learn social and socially relevant values and take on responsibilities in an intimate community of their peers.”

The Chairman, District 9111 Interact Committee, Bukonla Alamu, said that speakers include District 9111 Interact Representative, Mubarak Agbaje; Amb. Juliet Obi, speaking on ‘Entrepreneurship for Teenagers, Turning Ideas Into Income,’ and Mercy George- Igbafe on ‘Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) As A Tool For Career Development.

Secretary of the Rotary District 9111 Interact Committee, Abeni Adesanya, added that other speakers include Oluwatosin Disu, on ‘Vocational Empowerment,’ and Fashakin Olusegun, on ‘Unlocking Next Generation Leadership, Merging Academic Excellence With Practical Strategies For Young Leaders.’
