Scholars to appraise opportunities, constraints of nanotechnology

The Nanotechnology Research Group (NANO+) at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso has restated the call for proper funding of the university and establishment of centre of excellence in Nanotechnology.

Head of the research group, Prof Agbaje Lateef said this while speaking on the third annual workshop cum conference, slated for October 22 and 24, 2019.

He said the conference being held in partnership with The Postgraduate School of LAUTECH, with the theme ‘Nanotechnology applications in Africa: Opportunities and constraints’ will attract scholars and policymakers.

According to him, “The activities of the research group have led to enormous contribution to knowledge in the field of nanotechnology through publications in top-rated journals and training of several undergraduate and postgraduate students in nanotechnology.”
