School showcases Nigeria’s cultural diversity
To showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity, St. Francis Catholic Secondary School, Idimu, Lagos, will today mark its Cultural Day.
The School’s Administrator, Rev. Fr. Maduabuchi Leo Muoneme, said the objective of yearly event “is to educate the children on Nigeria’s diverse cultures and how they could be harnessed for national peace, progress and unity.’
He said the reasons for establishing the school as a non-profit institution, was to “nurture young people, who are fully developed in all areas of life, including culture, academics and spirituality.”
Meanwhile, Chairman, Russel Smith Group, Leslie Oghomienor, will be the Special Guest of Honour and Speaker. The school’s decision to invite Oghomienor to speak to the students, according to Mouneme, was informed by his selfless intention for the good of humanity.
