It was a session of insights, as renowned digital experts converged on Lagos for the third edition of Africa’s most dependable digital marketing conference, Search AfriCon, which was held at Oriental Hotel, recently.
The conference, which has enlarged in scope and quality since its debut in 2024 afforded professionals in the digital field like content creators, social media managers, paid media and agency leaders as well as founders a full day of expert-led sessions, practical workshops, and high-value networking, involving over 250 attendees drawn from Africa and beyond.
Founder of Search Africon, Ebere Cecilia Jonathan, who expressed delight at the success of the event, highlighted the importance of the conference in equipping African professionals with the tools and strategies they need to enrich their craft in order to impact positively on African businesses.
“It’s about optimising your brand’s visibility, starting from your website to your social media and connecting everything so that it is easier for people to simply see you, know you and trust you enough to put their money in what you are doing. This is 2026; we do not need to be in your DM asking for prices for services when one can just click a button and pull out a card and make payments. The idea is also to get digital marketers taken seriously because they are doing a lot for businesses.”
Many attendees lauded the conference for its engaging nature, as it had them networking with top industry professionals, which further equipped them with strategies to be on top of their game.
Kawysara Sally, an attendee said: “I am particularly intrigued by the fact that it availed me the opportunity to network with professionals I meet on LinkedIn and other virtual platforms. The one-on-one engagements with these professionals made it look engaging and rewarding”.
In a related development, Search Africon has announced that the conference will be moving to Nairobi, Kenya for another rewarding session on November 7, urging interested partners to leverage the platform and connect with the African digital marketing space.
Search AfriCon serves African businesses by availing a periodic interactive forum, where top players in the digital marketing space will network with business owners to teach ways of enhancing their businesses by adopting tested digital techniques.
Created by Jonathan, the conference debuted in 2024 with enthusiasm and approval from a wide range of global digital experts.
