Senate reads Presidency’s letter on confirmation of Magu, four others
The Senate yesterday announced that it had received the letter from the Presidency seeking nomination of Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Mustapha Magu and four other persons for the vacant positions in the commission.
President of the Senate Bukola Saraki read the letter signed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to Senators at the commencement of yesterday’s session. The Osinbajo letter was dated June 17, 2016, when he acted as President.
The letter received by the office of the Senate President on June 22, 2016 showed that the other four persons nominated as members of the commission: are Ndasule Moses; Lawan Mama; Galadanci Imam Najib and Adeleke Abebayo Rafiu.
