Senate tasks women on bills against violence
Deputy Senate Majority Leader, Ajayi Boroffice, has charged women to sponsor bills against gender-based violence nationwide.
Boroffice spoke at the end of the 16 days of activities to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women organised by Women Supporting Women Network (WSWN) with the theme: ‘Generation Equality, Stand Against Rape’ at the weekend in Abuja.
The lawmaker, who represents Ondo North senatorial district in the upper legislative chamber on the platform of the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), said the current administration was determined to protect “our women and we will do everything to protect them.”
