Vice President Kashim Shettima has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday, lauding his leadership, economic reforms, and commitment to repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.
In a personally signed tribute released on Sunday, Shettima described Tinubu as a visionary leader whose “Renewed Hope Agenda” continues to steer the country toward prosperity, noting that the administration has recorded notable milestones within the past year.
He highlighted improvements in key economic indicators, including accelerated GDP growth, easing inflationary pressures, and increased foreign direct investment, attributing the gains to the President’s “purposeful and courageous leadership.”
The Vice President also commended Tinubu’s focus on infrastructure development, noting that ongoing investments are laying the foundation for long-term economic expansion and national competitiveness.
“Your resolute focus on infrastructure development is creating the arteries of commerce that will power Nigeria’s prosperity for generations to come,” he said.
Shettima further praised the President’s willingness to take difficult but necessary decisions, stressing that history would remember his preference for reform over populism in addressing Nigeria’s structural challenges.
“Beyond policy and economics, what distinguishes your leadership is an uncommon fortitude—the willingness to make difficult choices today for a better tomorrow,” he added.
Reflecting on his working relationship with the President, Shettima described the experience as a “masterclass in decisive governance and principled leadership,” noting Tinubu’s ability to balance empathy with firmness and vision with pragmatism.
He prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and good health for the President as he pursues what he described as the ongoing task of national transformation.
“As you mark this special day, my prayer is that Almighty Allah grants you robust health, renewed vigour, and continued wisdom to complete the vital work of national transformation you have begun,” the Vice President said.
