Shiites bury four members that died during ‘Ashura’ procession in Bauchi
The Shiites in Bauchi have buried their four members allegedly killed during Tuesday’s ‘Ashura’ procession. The sect claimed to have clashed with the police during the event.
State leader of the movement, Malam Ahmad Yusuf Yashi, represented by his disciple, Malam Zilkallaini Aliyu, revealed the identities of the deceased as Uzaifa Adamu; Hussaini Haruna; Uzaifa Sunusi and another member simply identified as Ahmed.
But the force’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Kamal Datti, when contacted said he was not aware of the incident.Though he promised to find out and get back to The Guardian, a pledge he never kept as at press time.
