Soldiers sweep Kaduna streets

As part of activities to mark the 2018 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL), the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Kaduna, yesterday, embarked on sanitation exercise in the metropolis.

The exercise, which was supervised by the General Commanding Officer (GOC), 1 Division, Maj-Gen, Mohammed Mohammed, began at 9:30a.m and lasted till noon, at Barnawa area in Kaduna South Local Council.

Mohammed said the celebration would also feature medical outreach for residents.He said: “We feel we need to identify with the society as part of our celebration. The sanitation exercise was to clear the heaps of refuse at Barnawa area and keep the environment clean. Also, we came here to assist to clear the debris. This will also prevent an outbreak of disease and epidemic.”
