Special Persons Association of Nigeria (SPAN), also known as the Association For Handicapped Persons Welfare, has admonished children to obey their parents and those in authority.

The national coordinator, Mr. Chidi Nwankwo, stated this at the annual handicapped youth day rally tagged ‘Obey Your Parents’ organised by the association in Lagos.

While addressing the participating schools, president of SPAN, Princewill Ezenwa, noted that the rally was held to show the ability in disability and to provide adequate support for persons with disabilities.

The event was graced by the Nigerian Girl Guides Association, as well as various schools who presented songs, choreography and recitations.

Wheel chairs, clothes and tricycles were presented to participating schools.
