The Chairman of the conference and the Speaker of Bauchi State Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, explained that the entire Speakers and members of the 36 Houses of Assembly were touched by the death of the late Alhaji Muazu Abubakar.

Abubakar said when the deceased was abducted, members of the conference were calling the Speaker to find out the position till his death was confirmed.

Abubakar said: “His death is a great loss not to you and Zamfara State, but to the entire nation. “While urging the Speaker to take solace in the fact that his late father lived a faithful and fulfilled life, Abubakar prayed God to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

He commended Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle for working to tackle the menace of insecurity in the state and region at large.

He reiterated the position of the conference to support their governors through legislation and any other way in the fight against insecurity in the country.

On the condolence trip with the Chairman were Katsina State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon Tasiu Musa Maigari; Yobe State Speaker, Hon Ahmed Lawal Mirwa, and Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Hon Engr Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
