He has also confirmed his belief that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would break the Mambilla Hydro Project jinx.

While welcoming the judgment by the Federal High Court restraining the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from declaring him wanted, the chairman of Sunrise Power re-echoed his determination to fully execute the 3050MW hydropower project with additional private investments for 1500MW of Solar Power Generation in Mambilla with Chinese Consortium partners.

The Guardian gathered that the Chinese President, Xi Xingping, had sent a delegation to former President Muhammadu Buhari of which the pre-conditions for the Chinese Eximbank financing of the project is/was amicable, enforceable and legally binding settlement agreement to be reached by the Federal Government and the promoter.
