Terrorists have killed a Catholic priest, Reverend Father Joseph Aketeh Bako, who was abducted in Kaduna, recently.

The 48-year-old Bako was abducted from his residence, at Saint John’s Catholic Church in Kudenda, Kaduna when Terrorists invaded the area in March.

The death of the Catholic Priest was in a Statement by the Chancellor, Christian Okewu Emmanuel.

“We have carefully verified that the unfortunate event took place between 18th and 20th of April, 2022 in the hands of his abductors,” Emmanuel said.

“Most Reverend Matthew Man’Oso Ndagoso, the Archbishop of Kaduna, has since extended his deepest sympathies to his immediate family and the entire Catholic Community of St John’s, Kudenda, and assured them of his fraternal closeness and prayers”, Emmanuel said.

“Details of his funeral arrangement will be communicated as soon as they are ready. Meanwhile, kindly continue to pray for his peaceful repose and for the consolation of the bereaved Christian community in the Archdiocese of Kaduna.”
