An Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have killed a policeman in addition to destroying the Gubio Police Station in Borno State. The terrorists sneaked into the community on foot from the Bunduldul axis, and snatched a patrol vehicle, before setting the Divisional Police Station ablaze in the early hours of Friday, it was learnt.

It was gathered that the terrorists parked gun trucks and several motorcycles near the cattle market of the community before attacking the police station at 2.00am.

A counter-insurgency expert, in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, yesterday, in Maiduguri, disclosed that the terrorists made an infiltration into the community on foot before attacking the Divisional Police Station. A military source in Maiduguri, also confirmed that a Police Inspector paid the supreme price while protecting the police station from the terrorists.
