The Guardian and a member of staff, Dr. Monday Evawomaha, have been recognised by the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) at its presidential dinner and awards.

Positioned to promote trade and investment between Nigeria and United Kingdom since its establishment in 1977, the chamber is also affiliated with the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), thus accessing 52 chambers of commerce across the United Kingdom and 10 international institutions.

The NBCC, during the awards’ presentation, said Evawomaha and the newspaper were recognised for their unwavering support over the years.

In his remarks, Evawomaha commended the organisers for the gesture, noting that it was a call for more responsibilities. He promised that the recipients would continue to render more services to the chamber.

Other presidential awardees included the founder and chairman of Honeywell Group, Dr. Oba Otudeko, Chairman, Channels Media Group, Dr. John Momoh, Group Chairman, HT Group, Ray Chinedum Atelly, and famous accounting and professional service firm, EY.
