President Bola Tinubu’s administration is doing everything possible to improve the living standard of Nigerians. Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Malagi, disclosed this at the reception organised by Niger State government for ministers, commissioners, National Assembly and House of Assembly members; as well as advisers from the state in Minna, at the weekend.

He assured: “Tinubu is aware of the hardship the people are facing. We will come out of the hardship and, at the end, we will all be happy.”The minister lauded Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State for bringing all politicians together, irrespective of their political affiliation, adding that it would serve as a starting point for unity among the people.

According to him, citizens need to come together in the spirit of nation-building to develop our state.Earlier, Bago had advised the 25 local councils’ chairmen in the state to organise town hall meetings to discuss issues such as security and employment.

“As a government, we are very ambitious and we are working assiduously to fix all our roads and do what the people want.”

“The essence of the reception is to honour the appointees and ensure all executives come together and work as one, regardless of their political parties, for the development of the state,” Bago said. He stated that his relationship with the minister is very cordial, adding: “Let everyone know that Bago and Malagi are one.”

Minister of State for Agriculture, Abdullahi Sabi, and Senator Peter Jiya (Niger South), in their separate remarks, appreciated the governor and pledged their support and contribution to their constituencies.

Speaking on behalf of the council of traditional rulers in the state, the Emir of Kontagora, Muhammadu Barau, appealed to politicians to always go to their constituencies to dialogue with the people to give the people a sense of belonging.
