Tinubu returns to Abuja after Sallah break

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after spending the Eid-el-Kabir holiday in Lagos, where he held a series of political and official engagements.

 

The President’s aircraft landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 5:17 pm, where he was received by top government officials including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

 

During his stay in Lagos, President Tinubu received the Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate leadership led by Godswill Akpabio, and members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, among other political stakeholders.

 

He also attended the International Fleet Review in Lagos, marking the 70th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy, where he commissioned three naval vessels.

 

The President additionally hosted the President of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, in a meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation.

 

According to the State House, the visit also featured APC political consultations and engagements with party stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.
