Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Sultan, others eulogise Baba Adinni of Lagos

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Baba Adinni of Lagos, Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Abou, on his Centenary birthday celebration.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated Baba Adinni of Lagos, Sheikh Abdul Hafeez Abou, on his Centenary birthday celebration.

Tinubu, who praised Sheikh Abou for his steadfastness and extraordinary life of service to God, said: “This is a major milestone. We thank Almighty Allah for granting Baba the special grace of good health and longevity.

“Baba has dedicated his life to the propagation of Islam. Even with his advanced age, Baba has provided uncommon leadership to the Islamic Ummah in Lagos and beyond, and given inspiration to all of us in the shining examples of his life.”

Similarly, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has felicitated Sheikh Abou.

He said Baba Adinni has lived his life worshipping the Almighty Allah and serving humanity.

Also, the Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr. Kadri Hamzat, described Baba Adinni as a central character in the promotion of peace and harmony in Lagos with its population and religious diversity.

Meanwhile, Chairman, Zakat and Waqf of Sokoto, Lawan Maidoki, who delivered the goodwill of Sultan of Sokoto, said: “Lagos is dear to Sultan. May Almighty Allah continue to increase Baba in faith.”

Others, who felicitated Baba Adinni of Lagos on his birthday, include Bashorun Musulumi of Lagos and Vice Chairman of Executive Council of Lagos Central Mosque, Bashorun Skiru Alabi Macfoy; Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Sulaimon Abu-Nolla; President, Muslim Community of Lagos State, Prof. Tajudeen Gbadamosi and Trustee, Lagos Central Mosque, Alhaji Femi Okunnu.
