The 100 Most Notable African Leadership and Business Summit, held at the Marriott Hotels in Kigali, Rwanda, has concluded with significant success. The event, which took place from 1st to 4th August 2024, brought together influential leaders from across the continent under the theme, “Fostering Collaboration and Networking Among Business, Governance, and Security Stakeholder Leaders Across the African Continent.”
The summit saw the participation of several prominent figures, including former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, represented by Prince Godswill Edward, the Founder of The Prince 7 Youth Development Initiative.

Also in attendance were the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, and Dr. Nahbit Kapur, among others. These leaders engaged in discussions addressing critical issues that impact Africa’s future.
Jonathan, in his address, stressed the importance of unity among African nations, emphasising that unity forms the foundation for advancements in business, governance, and security. He remarked that without unity, progress in these areas would be unattainable.
Governor Lawal also spoke extensively on the necessity of developmental collaborations and flexible networks among African leaders and stakeholders. He pointed out that through these networks and partnerships, Africa could move more swiftly towards achieving self-sufficiency in various sectors.
The summit was officially opened by Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe, who highlighted its significance for African nations, particularly for those in political, traditional, and religious leadership positions. Amafibe noted that the summit remains a beacon for the realisation of the African dream, particularly in terms of innovative business ideas and responsible leadership.

The four-day event featured a range of activities, including panel discussions, plenary sessions, and an awards ceremony that honoured notable African leaders and innovators. The leadership and business summit aimed to create new pathways for revolutionising Africa’s business and leadership ecosystems.
Several prominent figures were recognised for their contributions during the awards ceremony. Among them were Governor Dauda Lawal, who was honoured as a Transformational Political Leader in Africa, and Dr. GD Singh, who received the Global Award for Excellence in Business Development. Others who were celebrated included Melody Fidel Okwuazu, recognised as an Africa Inspiring Impact Maker, and Adeniyi Victor, who was named Africa’s Rising Star Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

The summit concluded with participants inspired to foster deeper collaboration and drive change within their respective fields, ensuring that Africa continues on its path to progress and prosperity.
