Trade unions urged to resolve issues via dialogue

The Presidential candidate of People’s Trust (PT) in the 2019 general elections, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has urged trade unions in Nigeria to shun incessant industrial actions for dialogue as a modern weapon of industrial revolution.

Olawpo-Hashim, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), told newsmen, yesterday, in Ilorin that many industrial deadlocks could be resolved without putting down tools.

According to him, strike as a weapon to resolve issues is becoming obsolete in many developed nations, and that Nigeria cannot afford to be indifferent to it.

He, however, urged governments at various strata and private businesses owners to obey laws guiding the world of works towards a drastic reduction in industrial acrimony bedeviling the nation’s socio-economic sector.
