Teacher’s Registration Council of Nigeria ( TRCN) is set to launch its portal, designed to automate the registration process, enhance teachers’ quality and increase revenue and self- sustainability.

TRCN Acting Registrar, Dr Stella -Maria Nwokeocha who graced the   Basic Education in Nigeria Bootcamp hosted in Lagos, recently disclosed this during her address.

The Bootcamp with the theme “ Improving Access to Inclusive Quality Education for All Children in Nigeria” brought together key stakeholders, including the Commissioners of Education and the heads of International Development Partners.

Nwokeocha stated that TRCN had joined forces with the Federal Ministry of Education to tackle the challenges of out-of-school children in Nigeria.  She noted that as part of TRCN’s efforts to enhance teacher quality and education standards, and in line with its three-year digitalisation journey, the Teacher’s Portal would provide teachers with access to continuous professional development opportunities.

She added that, the Teacher’s Portal would enable them to stay updated on best global practices and innovative teaching methods.

“By leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve teacher quality, TRCN is poised to revolutionise the education sector in Nigeria,” she said.
