A joint ambush operation involving the troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, police, Community Watch Corps, and Vigilant Groups was successfully carried out on April 10, 2025, at approximately 4:15 am along the Dutsen Wori bandits’ route in Katsina State.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency media expert, disclosed that the operation targeted suspected bandits riding motorcycles through the area. Upon interception, the bandits engaged the joint team in a fierce gunfight.

Despite the heavy exchange of fire, the bandits managed to escape with severe gunshot wounds.

The operation led to the recovery of seven motorcycles.
