A hit and run truck has crushed an unidentified man to death at Koka junction along the ever-busy Asaba/Onitsha expressway, Asaba, Delta State

It was gathered that the man was crossing from Ibusa end to Asaba, the state capital when the truck driver hit and crushed him into pieces.

It was further gathered that the driver, after killing the man, sped off,  so that sympathisers could not apprehend him.

But, after a while, men of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) later arrived at the scene to gather his pieces and evacuated his corpse to the mortuary.

One of the sympathisers said: “The man was crossing the road when the trailer driver who was coming from the Onitsha end rammed into him.

“The trailer driver crushed him to pieces. He escaped from the scene with his trailer, disclosing that “it was the men of the Federal Road Safety Corps that came to gather the pieces of his body that were scattered due to the degree of the accident and evacuated the body.”

Confirming the incident, the  Delta state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said the matter was being investigated, assuring that the killer driver would be arrested and brought to book.
