Two varsity students die, five others injured in auto crash

A driver and two final year students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) were on Wednesday evening burnt to death in an auto crash that occurred around Ojutu bridge in Irepodun Local Council of Osun State.
 
Five other students were said to have sustained injuries in the lone accident.The Guardian gathered that the students were returning from Erin-Ijesa waterfall where they went for an excursion.
  
Confirming the incident, the Head of Operations, Osun Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (OSEMSAS), Mrs Elizabeth Arowosafe, said the injured victims were rushed to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for treatment by men of the agency.
  
According to her, the driver of the white MAZDA bus was trying to dodge some persons around the accident area when he somersaulted due to overspeeding.
 
Also, confirming the fatal crash, in a statement, yesterday, spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun State Command, Agnes Ogungbemi, said the driver violated speed limit and engaged in over speeding.
