Uduaghan to speak on Niger Delta economy at DOPF lecture

The Delta Online Publishers Forum (GOPF) has tipped former Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, as keynote speaker at this year’s conference and lecture.

The Delta Online Publishers Forum (GOPF) has tipped former Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, as keynote speaker at this year’s conference and lecture.

In a statement issued by Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee, Chijioke Williams Ugbolue and Secretary, Miracle Enuji in Asaba, the former governor will speak on Niger Delta Economy: Building A New Face For The Region.

It disclosed that the GOPF’s third lecture in the yearly series would hold on Thursday, October 21, 2021, in Asaba, adding that Uduaghan was chosen for the lecture based on his experience in Niger Delta affairs and as a former governor, who was committed to the development of the region.

It also revealed that a panel of experienced persons in governance, Niger Delta struggle, security, peace, oil and gas, the academia and the environment, have been contacted to discuss the theme of the conference.

Niger Delta activist, Annkio Briggs, Delta State Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Patrick Muoboghare, former Provost, Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, Dr. Nwanze Ignatius Ezuem and Sheriff Mulade of the Centre for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ), would be panellists at the lecture.
