We’ll resist imposition in Imo – Okorocha

Wife of President Buhari, Aisha has assured Nigerians their votes for her husband and the All Progressives Congress (APC) and other candidates of the party, will take the country to the next level.

Aisha, who was represented by the wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo gave the assurance at the South East zonal campaign rally for women and youths , yesterday, at Owerri, Imo State.

The rally consisted of APC members from Imo, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu states.

Aggrieved youths who attempted to disrupt the rally by chanting songs and displaying placards did not deter the campaign..

She listed some of husband’s achievements to include projects in the Southeast, Tradermoni, social investment programme, infrastructural development among others.

The event was attended by wives of five governors, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, wife of the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Mrs. Judith Amaechi, among others.

In his speech, Okorocha expressed disgust over what the authorities of the APC did to him and some members of the party in the state, noting that the Action Alliance (AA) governorship standard -bearer, also present at the campaign, Chief Uche Nwosu, was the person they knew.

He disclosed that they would ensure that the gains recorded for the president in the state were maintained, asking Buhari campaigners to leave Imo and campaign in other areas.

He said: “There in no need bothering yourself. Buhari will win in this election. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu is working hard and he will be the governor. There is no need making any argument. He will deliver Buhari. It is not anti-party. It is perfect alliance. We will resist imposition of candidate in this land. We have an understanding with President Muhammadu Buhari and he has not been found wanting.”
