Woman, two childen die in UK crash
A Ukrainian woman and two children living in the UK were named Tuesday as the victims of a fatal car crash in northern England.
Police said Daria Bartienieva, 35, her son, Ihor, six, and stepdaughter, Anastasiia, 15, were killed in a collision involving two cars and a double-decker bus near the town of Ripon on Sunday.
The tragedy came seven months after the children’s father died in a car crash in Ukraine in February, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The report said Sunday’s fatal crash had left a surviving 15-year-old daughter, also living in the UK, an orphan.
