Workshop for children’s book authors, illustrators


The second part of the workshop for children’s book illustrators and authors begins on Monday 16. Facilitated by Ute Krause and Baba Aminu Abdulkareem, the five-day event will feature the six authors and illustrators selected last year, via open call.

Aimed at developing and making quality children’s books affordable, at the Nigerian market, the workshop will teach new and intending authors how to tell imaginative and realistic stories that reflect their country’s social and cultural environment.

Krause, author of more than 60 children’s books published in Germany and throughout the world, will shed light on she has been able to attain such height.

Baba Aminu, a journalist, and an award-winning cartoonist and illustrator will speak on his experience and how to watch cartoons/illustrations with authors’ storylines.
