Yaro resumes as NDA’s 30th commandant, Gabkwet becomes NAF spokesman
SEQUEL to the recent redeployment of senior officers by the military, Major General Sagir Yaro has resumed duties as the 30th Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.
He succeeded Major General Jamil Sarham, who is proceeding to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Plateau State as Senior Research Fellow.
The new commandant is of the Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers and a member of the 36th Regular Course of the academy.
ALSO, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet has been appointed as Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI) of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).
The new spokesperson takes over from Air Vice Marshal Ibikunle Daramola, who has been at the helm of affairs, for over two years. Born in Kaduna, Gabkwet hails from Pankshin Local Council of Plateau State. He is a member of the 42nd Regular Course of the NDA.
