Yoruba welfare group commends Nigerians on Tinubu’s victory, backs Sanwo-Olu
A prominent socio-cultural body, Yoruba Welfare Group (YWG), has congratulated the entire Nigerians for a successful, peaceful and credible presidential election that produced a prominent Yoruba son, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
National President of the group, Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, while speaking at a media briefing in Lagos, yesterday, commended Nigerians who did not only vote in a peaceful election but comported themselves peacefully before, during and after the polls.
He also applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for making the presidential election free, fair and credible.
Alawuje said that it is not yet Uhuru until all APC governors and state lawmakers are massively elected into offices across the board.
The group, which endorsed the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his other colleagues in other states, urged politicians who lost in the election to toe the line of former President Goodluck Jonathan by accepting and congratulating the winners.
