A youth-focused empowerment initiative designed to inspire skill development, innovation, and community impact is set to bring together young people from different walks of life in Lagos.
The programme, tagged Purpose Driven Youth Transformational Experience, held on April 19th, 2026, was aimed at engaging skilled youths, school leavers, and early job seekers, with a focus on helping them explore new opportunities, develop their talents, and positively influence their communities.
Shining Teens initiative says the event is structured as a platform for introduction to new opportunities, celebration of young talents, encouragement for skill acquisition, and empowerment for participants ready to take actionable steps toward personal and professional growth.
According to the organisers, the gathering is not just an event but a movement designed to help young people “level up” by equipping them with exposure, motivation, and access to relevant networks that can support their development.
Participants are expected to benefit from sessions highlighting emerging opportunities, conversations around career and skill advancement, and avenues for personal branding and talent monetisation. There were entertainment segments, networking opportunities, music, games, and refreshments to create a relaxed but impactful atmosphere.
The initiative targets a broad category of youths, including those already skilled and seeking visibility, graduates and school leavers exploring career pathways, and job seekers aiming to transition into meaningful engagement.
Shining Teens Initiative also noted that all participants received empowerment support to further strengthen their capacity and scale their skills.
The second leg of the event is scheduled to be held on May 15th, 2026, from 10 AM at the Student Union Arcade (LASU) Campus. Interested participants are encouraged to attend and position themselves for what organisers describe as “the next level” of opportunity and growth. The Shining Teens Initiative added that the goal is to turn ideas into real opportunities for participants.
