The campaign message of Aisha Buhari
What has become of Nigeria elite? Many workers and youths are indifferent to the political situation of Nigeria.
Some of those who care are more concerned about Islam or Christianity than about Nigeria and social equilibrium.
Hence after the President, General Muhammadu Buhari (GMB) has perpetrated carnage and economic annihilation of Nigeria for more than three and half years, his wife, Aisha Buhari, went to Kano to start canvassing votes, saying her own husband would not disappoint Nigerians.
She has no conscience that after ruling Nigeria for more than three and half years, her husband’s works should campaign for him. Nothing to show!
What are the indices that GMB would not disappoint Nigerians? At his inauguration as the President in 2015, he paid homage to Shehu Usuamanu Danfodio and thereafter went straight into the most bitter war against Boko Haram; a Muslim community of men, women and children that did not attack anybody until attacked. He made London his own second home until protests in Nigeria and London embarrassed him out of it.
How much of hard currencies altogether did GMB squander in his romance with London? The answer is in the wind.
He lied that he inherited empty treasury, yet he had a lot of money to deploy the security operatives against Boko Haram; to be going for earache in London and to make dollars available for pilgrimage-makers.
He could not install his ministers until more than five months after his own inauguration as Nigeria’s President.
What is the total loss of Nigeria during those months in which he could not claim to be in charge of the ministries, since he was not really on ground, divided between war and London? The answer is in te wind.
Since May 29, 2015, GMB doubles himself as the petroleum minister. He increased fuel price from N87 to N145 and is recovering looted funds without accountability for anything to anybody.
There is no accountability for any annual budget, 2015 till date; the economy has collapsed; hyper inflation is worsening by the day; debts are skyrocketing and one insurgent group has increased to three: Boko Haram; the Fulani herdsmen terrorists and the scavenging armed bandits. So, what if GMB will disappoint Nigerians?
Why did GMB negotiate to free some girls abducted by Boko Haram and not for Nigeria’s freedom from carnage and economic annihilation? That is why it is crucial for Nigerians to ensure that the former Vice-president Atiku Abubakar is elected, since, as a seasoned politician, he together with the former President Olusegun Obasanjo led Nigeria without fighting Boko Haram or give room to any insurgency. His restructuring plan will include economic equity also.
