10th Senate will continue to collaborate with Executive, says Senator Eze

Senates in session

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Senator representing Ebonyi Central, Ken Eze, on Sunday reaffirmed the 10th Senate’s commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, assuring Nigerians that the National Assembly would continue to collaborate with the Executive in the national interest.

Senator Eze stated this at his country home at Onueke Ezza South LGA when the people of Izzikworo paid him a visit and adopted Mr. President, Governor Francis Nwifuru and him for a second tenure.

He noted that the Senate had carefully reviewed the President’s eight-point agenda and remained convinced of its focus on economic reform and infrastructure development, stressing that the Senate would support policies and programmes that promote national growth and stability.

Senator Kenneth Eze expressed gratitude to the people of Izzikworo for the confidence reposed in him and Governor Nwifuru, describing the adoption as historic.

Eze noted that he is the first son of Izzikworo Clan to be elected into the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a milestone he said he would not take for granted.

He emphasised the importance of unity, love and peace as foundations for development, noting that the large turnout of stakeholders reflected a collective commitment to harmony and progress.

The adoption was reached at a well-attended stakeholders’ meeting held on Sunday at the country home of Senator Kenneth Eze.

The meeting attracted political leaders, traditional rulers, elders, youth and women leaders, professionals, party faithful and community representatives from across the Izzikworo Clan.

Moving the motion for adoption, Barrister Friday Agbom, National Secretary of Izzikworo Youths, commended the working relationship between Governor Nwifuru and Senator Eze, describing it as critical to peace, inclusive governance and grassroots development in Ebonyi State.

Agbom cited ongoing road construction projects across Izzikworo communities, youth empowerment initiatives, market-to-street economic inclusion programmes and community development projects as key outcomes of the current administration.

He also highlighted Senator Eze’s facilitation of over 450 federal job placements within a short period, describing it as unprecedented in the history of the Ebonyi Central Senatorial District.

According to him, tangible development projects were visible across all communities in Izzikworo, noting that peace and empowerment had replaced years of uncertainty.

He thereafter formally moved the motion adopting President Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Nwifuru and Senator Eze as the sole candidates of the Izzikworo people for the 2027 elections.

The motion was seconded by Nicodemus Azi, who called on stakeholders to sustain unity and support leaders whose performances, he said, had earned public confidence.
