2027: Tinubu will secure 90% votes in Ebonyi…..NDI-ABAT

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

The NdIgbo for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 Forum (NDI-ABAT) on Friday said that following the ongoing federal infrastructure projects under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda across the southeast couple with the performance of the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, and the development initiatives of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, President Ahmed Tinubu and APC will win Ebonyi convincecilly in next year general election.

In a statement in Abakaliki signed by National Coordinator NDI-ABAT Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) Dim Uche Okwukwu the Group declared that Ebonyi State presents one of the strongest opportunities for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to secure an overwhelming presidential victory in the Southeast in 2027 saying that APC will win 90 per cent of the state’s presidential votes to President Tinubu.

“With confidence, the ongoing federal infrastructure projects under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the performance of the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, and the development initiatives of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru Ebonyi state is sure bet for APC” they said.

According to the Forum, the combination of federal infrastructure investment, state-level development initiatives, political leadership, and grassroots mobilisation gives the APC a significant opportunity to strengthen its electoral position in Ebonyi State.

“The Forum believes that the political influence of Senator Umahi, Governor Nwifuru’s grassroots connections, the mobilisation capacity of elected local government chairmen, and NDI-ABAT’s political structures can help translate that confidence into substantial electoral support”.

The Forum further insisted that the achievements of the Tinubu administration must be communicated effectively to the electorate, particularly the progress of federal road projects and other infrastructure initiatives intended to improve connectivity, stimulate economic activity adding that it will strengthen the relationship between the Federal Government and the people of the Southeast.

NDI-ABAT considered Senator Umahi and Governor Nwifuru as important figures in the APC’s efforts to consolidate its position in Ebonyi calling on both leaders, alongside party stakeholders and grassroots organisations, to intensify lawful political engagement and ensure that the administration’s development record is presented clearly to voters.

The Forum also challenged opposition presidential hopefuls, particularly Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, to recognise that electoral success in the Southeast cannot be assumed on the strength of political identity, public visibility, or past voting patterns.

NDI-ABAT believed that the APC has a serious opportunity to compete effectively in Ebonyi and contest the wider Southeast with renewed determination.

“Forum acknowledges that the outcome of the 2027 presidential election will ultimately be determined by the electorate and its 90 per cent projection is an ambitious political target, and achieving it will require sustained engagement, credible leadership, respect for democratic choice, and demonstrable results”.

While urging President Tinubu to consolidate his political advantage in Ebonyi, NDI-ABAT cautioned against complacency in Abia, Anambra, Enugu, and Imo states believing that winning wider Southeast support will require a deliberate strategy that addresses the concerns of Ndigbo, strengthens public confidence, and demonstrates the administration’s commitment to inclusive national development.

As the November 9 campaign flag-off approaches, NDI-ABAT called on APC leaders, elected representatives, party members, and supporters to unite behind a disciplined grassroots campaign focused on performance, persuasion, and democratic participation.
