He stated that Abia State has remained in the dark despite that God provided the resources /money to procure the  ‘Generator’  that would light up the state, but that  those that  managed the  said resources /money had, instead of  ‘Generator’, bought ‘Candle ‘ that cannot light up the state.

According to the state NDC Chairman (Chief Atulomah) , a new Abia is in the horizon , hence he promised that his party if elected , will ensure that dividends of democracy go round the state.

He said ” We are here today to showcase  our well chosen candidates for the public to know them, and not the fake ones parading selves in the Social Media. NDC would keep singing songs of liberation, nobody owns NDC or can buy it. Lets emulate the Osun state electorate who allegedly , despite allegedly were given or offered large sums of money, still voted for the victory of their governor Ademola  Adeleke for his  second term according to their wish and concience”.

The state guber candidate Chief Ogah, who spoke for the showcased  NDC  candidates comprising the  duo guber  and deputy, 8 for House of Representatives, three for Senate, and 24  for the state House of Assembly,  called on  members that did not win their aspired the  party tickets in the party primaries to remain loyal to the party, indicating that he will lead party members to visit them, stressing the need for the party to be united.

” I got worried that many of the projects that I attracted and facilitated to my constituency as a Reps member were abandoned and left to follow by my successors.

” If elected as senator, I shall    not only  see to the conclusion of these projects but include new ones, using my goodwill, contacts, capacity, public service experience, to further  advance Abia North desirably”.

He was asked why he seemingly is not intimidated by the capacity of his rivals like senator Orji Uzor Kalu of the APC, Dr David Ogba of the Labour Party among others.

He reacted saying   that he had in the past contested and won his elections against rivals similarly described listing his younger age, energy and burning desire to uplift Abia North as part of his qualifications over his rivals,  beside mass support for him.

Also,  the Chairman of the state Party , Chief Atulomah while reacting  to the question by journalists, if the high Billboard Advert Fees imposed on candidates  by the state government would not affect their  campaigns capacity, saying that the high cost imposed cannot change the desire of the people to elect people of their choice in the coming election, especially  his NDC candidates.

A high point of the meeting was the  tunderous acclaim and support for the  candidacy of  senator Nkechi Nwaogu who joined the NDC from the APC, and described as the  Mother of any party she enrolls with in the state.
