The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Ben Adaji, has vowed to mobilise youths in the party to protest against President Muhammadu Buhari, if he considers giving Femi Fani-Kayode political appointment.

Briefing newsmen, yesterday, in Jalingo, Taraba State, Adaji said Fani-Kayode, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, should not be given any special treatment. He cautioned the APC over Kayode, describing him as a “serial betrayer”.

Fani-Kayode had left the APC at its infantile stage for the PDP in 2014, castigating the APC as a party that had a mission to Islamise Nigeria and inflict pains on Nigerians.

Adaji, who aspired for the House of Representatives seat for Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Constituency of Kogi State in 2015 and 2019, recalled that Fani-Kayode, since 2014, disparaged Buhari using unfriendly adjectives as wicked, dead, draconian, dictatorial among others.

He wondered why the same Kayode would go to the Villa to have a handshake with the same president that was dead, deceitful, wicked, anti democratic, incompetent among others.

The journalist, therefore, urged the President to consider party members, who had been consistent in building the party at all occasions.

GOVERNOR Muhammad Yahaya’s second term bid was, at the weekend, boosted by APC members in Gombe South Senatorial District, who passed vote of confidence in him.

During a meeting at Government Girls Arts Secondary School, Kaltungo, the stakeholders x-rayed Yahaya’s performance with particular consideration to the actualisation of his campaign promises.

“Governor Mohammad Yahaya has taken critics and doubting Thomases to the cleaners,” they stated. At the end of the meeting chaired by Senator Bulus Amos, the stakeholders said: “We, the entire members of the All Progressives Congress, Gombe South Senatorial District, have fully assessed, evaluated and acknowledged the unprecedented level of development, high level appointments and countless dividends of democracy brought to the zone by the APC government in Gombe State under the stewardship of Yahaya.”

We, hereby, declare our unanimous, sincere and total confidence in him.”
