Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has distributed 2.2 million insecticide-treated nets to fight malaria in the state.
Distributing the nets, on Tuesday, in Damaturu to mark the World Malaria Day, Buni, represented by Executive Secretary, Yobe State Primary Health Care Management Board, Dr. Babagana Machina, disclosed that the state government and development partners would embark on another distribution of nets across the state in July.

According to him, the regular use of nets has led to enormous progress in the fight against malaria that has claimed many lives and loss of man-hours in the various sectors of the economy. He said the exercise was to guard communities against the scourge.
