Political stakeholders in Ogun East have declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced during a public lecture organised by the Focus Forum in Ogun East, held at the Ijebu-Ode Club Hall. The event also marked the formal induction of Hafsat Oduwole-Balewa into the group.

Participants at the gathering expressed support for Tinubu’s potential second-term bid and for Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a preferred candidate in Ogun State’s next governorship race.

In her remarks, Oduwole-Balewa referenced ongoing economic and infrastructure initiatives under the current administration, calling for continuity in governance. She urged residents of the state to support leadership they believe can sustain development efforts.

The event brought together political actors, community leaders and members of the forum, who discussed issues relating to governance and development in the state.

Observers note that such early endorsements are part of broader political alignments ahead of the 2027 elections, as parties and interest groups begin to position potential candidates.

While formal party primaries are yet to be conducted, gatherings of this nature often reflect emerging preferences within political constituencies.

The Ogun East forum said its position is aimed at contributing to discussions on leadership and development priorities in the state.
