Koleosho Ibrahim Damilare has won the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket to contest for the Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly elections early next year.
Koleosho, popularly known as King White, emerged victorious in the NDC primary election for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II after securing 16,560 votes.
In a statement after his election at the weekend, Koleosho said his landslide victory reflected the overwhelming confidence and trust party members and supporters have in his leadership, vision, and commitment to grassroots development.
“While my supporters are still celebrating the election outcome across the constituency, I want to say that my emergence is a victory for the youths, market women, artisans, and residents who desire a new direction in representation,” he said.
Koleosho expressed gratitude to party leaders, delegates, ward executives, supporters, and members of the NDC family for standing firmly behind his ambition.
He promised to remain committed to the welfare of the people and to run an inclusive campaign, focused on empowerment, education, infrastructure development, and youth engagement.
According to Koleosho, observers believe his emergence has further strengthened his position ahead of the 2027 Lagos State House of Assembly election, as his growing popularity continues to attract support from different communities across Ifako-Ijaiye.
“Residents and supporters have described me as a grassroots politician who understands the challenges facing the people and possesses the energy and determination needed to provide effective representation.
“With this victory, my sight is now set on the general election, carrying the hopes and aspirations of thousands of supporters who believe that a new era of leadership is possible for Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II.
“The journey has begun. Together, we will build a better and stronger Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency II,” Koleosho said.
