Barely 11 months to the conduct of the next general elections, Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has said that Nigerians are patiently waiting for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take over the leadership of the country.

Speaking, yesterday, in Yola during the inauguration of the 21 caretaker chairmen for Adamawa local councils, Fintiri urged the party members to start grassroots mobilisation ahead of the poll.

The governor, who expressed confidence that his party would return to power to pilot the nation’s affairs, told the chairmen to work with the people at the grassroots and security agencies for peace and development.

MEANWHILE, Abdulrazak Namdas, representing Ganye/Jada/Toungo/Mayo Belwa federal constituency in the House of Representatives on All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, yesterday, distributed Honda Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to royal fathers in his constituency.

The journalist-turned-politician also distributed 100 sewing machines, 100 grinding machines and 1,100 assorted seedlings to the APC leaders in the four local councils of his constituency.
