Ogun APM candidate, Akinlade Denies fake instagram page

The Gubernatorial Candidate of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Ogun State, Adekunle Akinlade has raised alarm over a fake Instagram handle in his name, describing it as cheap and fraudulent.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Azeez Adelani, yesterday, Akinlade said the development is nothing but fraud orchestrated by some unscrupulous Internet fraudsters to smear his name and enrich themselves illegally by defrauding the unsuspecting public.Akinlade said he was inundated with calls from his supporters, drawing his attention to the new social media page, with his photograph, offering cash aid.

“Therefore, we urge members of the public to beware of this scam and not to fall for their cheap and deceptive fraudulent aim.”He called on the security agencies to do the needful by launching their investigation to unravel the culprits.Calls made across to the governorship candidate were not picked. A text message also sent was yet to be replied yesterday.”
