Oyebanji’s victory vindicates Tinubu’s reforms, renewed hope ambassadors declare

President Bola Tinubu

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) have described the landslide re-election of Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as a validation of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and an endorsement of the governor’s Shared Prosperity Agenda.

In a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Tunde Rahman, the group said Saturday’s governorship poll reflected the confidence of Ekiti people in the APC administration at both the state and federal levels.

The organisation also congratulated its South-West Zonal Coordinator and Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Chief Dayo Adeyeye, the Ekiti State Coordinator and the 16 Local Government Coordinators for their roles in delivering what it described as a decisive electoral victory.

The group commended the people of Ekiti State for conducting a peaceful, transparent and orderly election, noting that the process reinforced the state’s reputation for democratic maturity.

According to the statement, President Tinubu’s economic reforms and governance initiatives provided the momentum that inspired widespread support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the polls.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors also lauded the Director-General of the organisation and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, Deputy Director-General and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, Secretary and Gombe State Governor, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya, as well as other APC governors, for their commitment and strategic mobilisation that culminated in the party’s victory.

It maintained that the outcome was a clear endorsement of Governor Oyebanji’s performance in office, citing achievements in infrastructure development, agriculture, healthcare, education and youth empowerment as factors that resonated with voters.

The group, however, said attention would now shift to the August 15 Osun State governorship election, urging its members nationwide to intensify grassroots mobilisation and continue projecting the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration.

“The victory in Ekiti is not the end of our assignment but the beginning of another phase. We remain committed to articulating and disseminating the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda and consolidating support for the APC ahead of future electoral contests, including President Tinubu’s re-election bid in January 2027,” the statement said.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors reaffirmed their resolve to mobilise public support for policies that promote inclusive growth and national development while calling on Governor Oyebanji to remain magnanimous in victory and sustain an inclusive style of governance that unites all Ekiti people.

It wished the governor renewed strength and wisdom as he begins another term, expressing confidence that his second tenure would consolidate the gains of the first and accelerate the state’s development trajectory.
