PDP clears Odua, Ubah, four others for Anambra guber poll
Disqualifies Akolisa For Dual Citizenship
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared six out of the seven aspirants seeking to contest the Anambra governorship election on its platform.
The Waziri Maina-led screening committee announced at a press briefing in Abuja, yesterday evening that only Ufodike Akolisa was disqualified for possessing dual citizenship.
Another aspirant, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, was given provisional clearance, pending a waiver by the national leadership of the party.
Aspirants who scaled the hurdle are Ifeanyi Ubah, Stella Odua, Lynda Ikpazu, Okechukwu Emeka and Alex Obiogbolu.
Waziri, who issued certificate of clearance to the aspirants, said Akolisa was disqualified.
