Plateau Assembly confirms PLASIEC members

Plateau State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC) officials.
The confirmation was contained in a resolution of the House at its executive session on November 15, 2021, following the receipt of a communication from the governor dated November 12, 2021, requesting their confirmation by the House.

In a statement, yesterday, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Sabastine Hommuk, the resolution indicated that, given the bad state of the House of Assembly Chambers and with no alternative facility yet provided for the House sittings, the executive session became imperative.

According to the statement, Fabian Ntung is Chairman of PLASIEC, while Lamidi Kaiwani, Joshua Ndom, Patrick Mamgin, Hafsat Amin, Peter Danbenji and James Dashan are members. The confirmation has since been forwarded to Governor Simon Lalong for further action.
