Southern C’River stakeholders disagree with Duke, Imoke

Former Cross-Rivers State Governor, Donald Duke has come under huge criticism for kicking against Gov. Ben Ayade’s administration.
Stakeholders in Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State have taken a swipe at former governors of the state, Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke for rejecting rotation of power in the state.
Duke and Imoke had, in separate statements, referred to the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bassey Otu, as a surrogate to Governor Ben Ayade for the 2023 race and that people of the state should vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Sandy Onor.
But Southern Initiatives comprising elders stakeholders opinion leaders and citizens, yesterday, condemned Duke and Imoke, saying people of the state should ignore their comments.
