President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven new executive directors to steer the affairs of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

The appointments, announced in a statement issued on Friday by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency explained that it is part of Tinubu’s efforts to reposition the nation’s broadcast industry.

Ayo Adewuyi has been reappointed Executive Director, News, while Bar. Ibrahim Aliyu takes charge as Executive Director, Special Duties.

Other appointees include Malam Muhammed Fatuhu Mustapha, Executive Director, Administration and Training; Mrs Apinke Effiong, Executive Director, Finance; Mrs Tari Taylaur, Executive Director, Programme; Mr Sadique Musa Omeiza, Executive Director, Engineering; and Mrs Oluwakemi Fashina, Executive Director, Marketing.

Mrs Effiong brings expertise in financial marketing, treasury management, accounting, and reporting, while Mrs Taylaur is an accomplished audio/visual creator, producer, and showrunner.

Mrs Fashina is a seasoned integrated marketing communications professional and chartered marketer.

The appointments are expected to inject fresh ideas and expertise into the NTA, driving growth and development in Nigeria’s broadcast industry.

The statement noted that the appointments take immediate effect.
