…As Caucus 7202 gears up for “Mother of All Rallies”
Political activities in Ogun State are set to gather momentum as an independent campaign group, Caucus 7202, concludes arrangements for what it has described as the “Mother of All Rallies” in support of the governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI.
The rally, scheduled for September 10, 2025, at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, is also expected to canvass support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, Governor Dapo Abiodun’s senatorial ambition and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The event is expected to serve as a prelude to Adeola’s campaign activities and attract thousands of supporters, community leaders, professionals, market women, artisans, youths, students and political stakeholders from across Ogun State’s three senatorial districts.
According to the organisers, the rally is intended to demonstrate what they described as the growing acceptance of Adeola’s vision for an inclusive, prosperous and economically vibrant Ogun State.
They also cited the senator’s record in the National Assembly, including his alleged contributions to developmental projects, educational interventions, road infrastructure and youth empowerment initiatives, as factors behind what they described as his growing popularity among residents.
The organisers said the gathering would provide an opportunity for supporters to publicly express confidence in Adeola’s experience, legislative exposure and capacity to build on the developmental gains recorded in the state while introducing fresh initiatives to accelerate economic growth.
Unlike conventional rallies organised solely through established party structures, Caucus 7202 said its event was conceived as a people-driven movement aimed at reflecting support for Adeola across different social and professional groups.
A major attraction at the rally will be Fuji music star, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM1, who is billed to entertain the expected mammoth crowd.
The programme is also expected to feature goodwill messages from community leaders, party stakeholders, youth representatives, women’s groups and professional bodies, among others.
Political observers expect the scale of the turnout to provide an indication of the grassroots momentum behind Adeola’s governorship aspiration, coming amid endorsements and mobilisation efforts by various stakeholders and support groups.
For Caucus 7202, however, the proposed “Mother of All Rallies” is more than a conventional political gathering.
The group said it is designed as a public demonstration of the collective resolve of supporters who believe Adeola offers a compelling option for the future leadership of Ogun State.
