Igbinedion varsity plans quantity surveying degree programme
Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State is to partner with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Edo State chapter for a degree programme in quantity surveying.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Lawrence Ikechukwu Ezemonye disclosed this while receiving the executive members of the state chapter of the institute in his office.
While assuring the institution’s readiness to begin a degree programme in the discipline as soon as possible, Ezemonye noted that, apart from being professionals, almost all of members of the executives were entrepreneurs, which according to him is his desire for all the graduates of the university.
He expressed joy at the board’s readiness to assist the university in setting up the programme, especially its preparedness to help the university in sourcing for personnel for training students who will be admitted into the programme.
The Vice Chancellor said he was excited to hear that the programme could be mounted in the College of Engineering, where the College of Environmental Science is non-existent, adding that the programme will be of immense benefit for all.
