NIQS seminar on building contract
The Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) will be organising a two-day seminar on ‘Essentials of Building and Engineering Contract Documentation and Administration next week.
The seminar will take place simultaneously in centres across the six geo-political zones such as Akure, Calabar, Kaduna, Minna, Owerri and Yola according to the Secretary for Marketing and Corporate Affairs of NIQS, Mr. Jide Oke.
The seminar will provide insights into such areas as contract law, contract formulation and strategy.
Other sub themes of the seminar are Public Procurement Act, key components of contract and standard forms of contract such as NEC, FIDIC and JCT.
Quantity surveyor, architects, contractors, project managers and lawyers will attend it.
